Solgar Omnium Multivitamin Tablets: A Phytonutrient Multivitamin and Mineral

One of  Solgar's best sellers around the world, Omnium Multivitamin is deservedly popular. The reason for that has a lot to do with its phytonutrient content. Phytonutrients or phytochemicals, same thing,  are always of interest to us because of early mankind's attachment to plants and the goodness contained in them. Solgar tell us that their Omnium Multivitamin is an "advanced phytonutrient-rich multiple vitamin and mineral formula." So, what are phytonutrients? These are nutrients that come from plant material that have been shown to be necessary for supporting human life.

Because phytonutrients often contain antioxidants and compounds that are anti-inflammatory in nature, these foods are sometimes known by the nickname of superfoods. There are a number of fruits and vegetables that contain one or more examples of phytonutrients but soybeans are considered to be one of the abundant sources of  phyto based elements, and Omnium Tablets are consequently rich in soy. Phytonutrients certainly supported palaeolithic man, who was probably a lot smarter than us with his plant and vegetable based diet as the main base of his pyramid of nourishment.

Who should take it?
Understandably, Solgar tells us that "Omnium® Tablets are designed for those who are interested in the benefits of a phytonutrient rich formula." That's probably all of us in one way or another.
